The CAPiTA Dark Horse Men's Snowboard 2027 is designed for freestyle riders looking for a responsive and energetic snowboard that can handle park jumps, side hits and resort terrain. Part of CAPiTA's team-favourite and budget-friendly series, the Dark Horse combines essential performance technologies with a lightweight construction to deliver the pop and power demanded by progressive freestyle riders. Its versatile design makes it suitable for riders who want to enjoy park sessions while exploring different features across the mountain.

At the heart of its performance is the PARK V1 Camber profile. This construction transitions from traditional camber to zero camber 4 cm before the end of the sidecut. The small zero-camber sections provide a more controlled riding experience while retaining the response and power associated with a cambered snowboard. This combination supports freestyle riding while offering control across resort terrain.

The TRUE TWIN shape features a symmetrical design that allows riders to perform equally in both directions. Combined with the RADIAL sidecut and twin flex of 6, the Dark Horse provides a balanced and responsive platform for freestyle riding. Its design is suited to park jumps, jibbing, side hits and other resort features, making it a versatile option for riders who enjoy a freestyle-oriented approach to snowboarding.

At the heart of its construction is the DUAL CORE™, which combines a lightweight and poppy Poplar wood core with Beech wood for increased power and durability. This combination creates an energetic foundation that supports the board's pop and responsiveness while maintaining a lightweight construction.

For additional power and response, the 2 x 30 mm CARBON ARAMID BOOSTERS integrate carbon fibre reinforcement into the snowboard. Carbon fibre is known for its rigidity, high tensile strength, low weight, high-temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion. CAPiTA uses different adaptations of carbon fibre thickness, width, weight and weave to enhance power and responsiveness while keeping its snowboards ultralight.

The HOLYSHEET™ TRI/BI + MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN construction features fibreglass weaves with high tensile strength and a low modulus of elasticity. Its higher roving count allows for a stronger and more responsive snowboard without adding extra weight, complementing the energetic construction of the Dark Horse.

Underneath, the SUPERDRIVE™ BASE belongs to the sintruded category, combining characteristics of both sintered and extruded base materials. Its manufacturing process uses higher pressure and temperature to increase surface hardness to levels approaching those of most sintered bases. This improves durability and surface strength, making it more resistant to the demands of jibbing and riding around the mountain, while retaining low-maintenance characteristics.

Completing its construction, the Pearlescent Screen + Gloss/Matte Print Topsheet combines a pearlescent screen with gloss and matte printed finishes, adding the final element to its construction.

Energetic, responsive and freestyle-focused, the CAPiTA Dark Horse 2027 combines traditional camber performance, a true twin shape, a lightweight Dual Core™ and carbon aramid reinforcement for riders looking for pop and power across park jumps, side hits and resort terrain.
