The CAPiTA Mega Death 2027 is designed for riders seeking exceptional performance across all-mountain terrain and freeride conditions.
Inspired by the legacy of the Black Snowboard of Death, this high-performance snowboard combines an ultra-lightweight construction with advanced materials and technologies developed at CAPiTA's MotherShip™ facility. Built to handle demanding terrain, the Mega Death delivers a powerful and versatile riding experience for those who want to push their limits on the mountain.
At the core of its performance is the Alpine V1 Directional + Flat Kick Tech profile, featuring mid-body camber, a flat tail and a reverse-cambered nose. This construction provides pop and stability on hard-packed snow while enhancing float and landing power in deep snow. The longer camber section in the tail also provides additional power for the ascent.
The board features a Thermopolymer Starship Core™, combining premium poplar wood with bonded post-consumer recycled thermopolymer channels. This advanced hybrid core is designed to maintain the pop of poplar while achieving a lightweight construction.
For enhanced power and response, the Pure Megacarbon™ reinforcement is combined with marine-grade epoxy resin. The construction incorporates carbon fibre, a material known for its rigidity, high tensile strength and low weight.
Underneath, the MEGADRIVE™ XT Base features UHMW polyethylene modified with high carbon content and special fluoro additives, providing fast glide across a wide range of conditions. Its increased thickness is designed to enhance durability, while the factory-direct Moonshot Omni-Tune™ stone grind creates a base structure that helps move water away from the base.
Powerful, lightweight and engineered for demanding all-mountain and freeride performance, the CAPiTA Mega Death 2027 brings together advanced construction, directional shaping and premium base technology for riders looking for a high-performance snowboard.
