The CAPiTA D.O.A. Men's Snowboard 2027 (Defenders of Awesome) is designed for riders looking for an exceptionally versatile snowboard that combines freestyle performance with all-mountain capability. Developed for resort riding, it features a true twin shape and a balanced construction that makes it suitable for groomers, jumps, powder, jibs and a variety of freestyle-inspired terrain. Its combination of pop, response and predictable turn initiation makes it an adaptable choice for riders who want to explore different aspects of snowboarding with one board.
At the heart of its performance is the RESORT V1 + FLAT KICK TECH profile. This hybrid design combines the benefits of traditional camber, zero camber and reverse camber. It delivers the pop and response associated with a cambered snowboard, alongside the predictability and easier turn initiation of zero camber and reverse camber shapes. This construction creates a versatile riding experience for both freestyle manoeuvres and all-mountain exploration.
The TRUE TWIN shape provides a symmetrical design, making the board suitable for riding in either direction. Combined with the BLENDED RADIAL sidecut and twin flex of 5.5, the D.O.A. is developed to offer a balanced and responsive feel across different riding conditions, particularly for resort and freestyle-oriented riding.
Its lightweight and durable construction is built around the P2 SUPERLIGHT™ CORE. This extremely lightweight and versatile core combines high impact resistance with maximum pop, providing an energetic foundation for jumps, freestyle manoeuvres and all-mountain riding.
For additional precision and reduced weight, the HYBRID CARBON HOLYSHEET™ BI/BI + MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN construction integrates carbon additives directly into the HOLYSHEET™ fibreglass. Developed in collaboration with CAPiTA's glass supplier, this construction enhances precision during the layup process while significantly reducing weight, contributing to a precise and lightweight snowboard construction.
Underneath, the QUANTUM DRIVE™ BASE features a progressive blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. Developed as an evolution of the ULTRADRIVE™ base, it offers higher density for increased durability and absorbs more wax to maintain longer-lasting glide and speed. With proper maintenance, this sintered base provides a combination of speed and durability.
Completing its construction, the PLT TOPSHEET TECHNOLOGY™ is an exclusive CAPiTA manufacturing process that bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth and high-gloss finish without using solvents or toxic lacquers during finishing.
Versatile, lightweight and designed for freestyle-inspired all-mountain riding, the CAPiTA D.O.A. 2027 combines a true twin shape, hybrid camber profile, poppy core and carbon-reinforced construction for riders looking for a responsive snowboard that can handle different resort terrain and riding styles.
